Field Notes

Description:

Is this a perfect hybrid White-eared Red-vented Bulbul or do the White-eared bulbuls have red vents when they are juvenile or the Red-vented bulbuls have white ears when juvenile? Input appreciated!

Habitat:

Found in a date palm in my hometown.

Notes:

None of the two bulbul species are actually native to Qatar but have, like many other birds species such as the common mynah, been introduced (or successfully spread into the Middle East).
