Field Notes

Description:

A small finch. Males are rosey red around the face and upper breast. Very streaky brown on chest, back and tail. Females are plain grayish-brown with thick, blurry streaks and an indistinctly marked face.

Habitat:

In the trees and grass in a neighborhood.
