Field Notes

Description:

The skull-like marking says it all. This is a large moth.

Habitat:

I caught this one when it fluttered in through the window. I took two photos before it settled in the space behind a book case and the wall...totally inaccesible.

Notes:

It was eyed longingly by the House Gecko...which may have got it after all because I did not see it the next morning....the gecko was gone too. Perhaps the moth ate it!
