Subin, I don't think your spotting is that of Cranberry either. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaccinium_oxycoccos When you ID your spotting, you need to give a reference (web link) to support your ID, as stated In Project Noah FAQ. When editing your spotting, you will see a box on the right hand side allocated for web references. Thanks.
Thanks Leuba That was not the Amla sorry for the wrong Naming. Thanks for the "spot on" opinion.any way thanks a lot
Interesting spotting, Subin. The fruits look a little like gooseberries but the leaves and other parts look a little different to Ribes uva-crispa. Is this plant/shrub being cultivated in Kerala - a hybrid maybe ?? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gooseberry Do you have a web reference for this ? I'd be interested to know more. I think Aamla is the hindi name for the Indian Gooseberry Phyllanthus emblica https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phyllanthus_emblica
