Field Notes

Description:

slightly smaller than my little finger, brilliant colours, red horns that went in and out as he got flustered.

Habitat:

eating a lime tree in Siavonga

Notes:

would like to know what he becomes. With such a beautiful start, I'm hoping for a magnificent butterfly. Was amazingly proficient at destroying my lime seedling.

Thanks for the help everyone! While I didn't like the damage, I just loved this little fellow - a beaut!
Definitely a Papilio sp. and most probably Papilio demodocus. Please, verify!
