Description:

The Barred Owl has a belly pale with bold streaks. Found in mature forests, especially hardwood swamps. It is nocturnal, hunting for rodents from a perch. Large: L 21" WS 42". Currently at VINS rehab. center due to an injury. Also used for public education purposes, image two is demonstrating how the owl can move its head around almost completely around.
