Field Notes

Description:

Minuscule eggs stuck on the undersurface of a lily leaf.

Habitat:

Urban garden.

Notes:

Since this was spotted on a lily leaf and I have seen the Lily moth, Polytela gloriosae, around I'd like to add 2 and 2 together. But honestly I cannot. It rained heavily and I was unable to spot any larvae that emerged...the area was slushy and kind of submerged. Maybe this year I will be able to document the entire life cycle!
