You're welcome. I misspoke a bit in my first comment. What I meant to say was that the side view of the flower in the background of your photo is how I knew it was some sort of phlox: the long, thin tube that flares out to five separate petals (visible on the beautiful flower in the foreground).
unfortunately, i don't have a side view but the fact that its phlox is actually really helpful. thank you glorious stranger.
Pretty flower. It's some sort of Phlox, but I can't tell the species. The side view of the flower helps ID the genus.
