Description:
While in the rest of Italy the two main species (italian and european wall lizard) are distinguished by the fact the first lives in nature while the second in human establishments, in Sicily (being the european lizard absent) the italian started living amongst the humans while the endemic sicilian lizard in nature. This specimen is also a concolor, meaning it has a uniform green color and no spots. Especially in the hotter hours these specimens stood still and were very easy to approach.
