Description:

I was watching a buckeye butterfly laying eggs, and came back an hour later for pictures of the eggs (I remembered exactly where this one was).

Habitat:

A lot in my neighborhood; urban

Notes:

Probably the smallest thing I've ever photographed

Keith: It was a wide blade of grass or weed in a lot down the street from my house. It wouldn't be very noticeable, except it glints in the sun. I actually watched the butterfly lay it, so I know what species it is and that's how I found it. Hayden: They have very intricate designs! And yet it was only about a millimeter or two long!
Looks like plantain to me.
