Description:

very harsh 1 -2 syllable cheep

Habitat:

riparian trail near eagle lake

Notes:

They were everywhere - and always landing just where I couldn't get a decent photo. Will take any id help offered.

You might well be right. One of the criteria is it would have to live there and near my house. I hear them during the summer, but because of how dense the forest is, I never see them and I think they hang out in a clearing at the top of a ridge on my property.
