Description:

"The cabbage bug has a shiny, flat dark-colored body about 5–7 millimetres long and 4 millimetres wide. The species has a dark ground colour which is overlain with red, yellow, cream, white or orange markings." ~wiki

Habitat:

spotted on a Matthiola sp. (mustard family) plant in a high mountain desert wadi with a lot of vegetation
