Field Notes

Description:

Cream coloured hairy caterpillar.

Habitat:

In a garbage dump on a wasteland near a freshwater lake.
I was photographing some odd looking bugs on water hyacinth when I got the impression of something moving near my feet. There was stuff from a ceremonial immersion of idols (not permitted in water bodies any more so left on its banks) and there was this caterpillar that swiftly moved inside an abandoned mud pot that had been used for worship. I got two blurred snaps and this one.

Notes:

Never seen this caterpillar in my garden which is not far from the lake.
