Field Notes

Notes:

Won't we have patches for National Moth Week 2024? Did project Noah disassociate itself from this magnificent event? We don't have many moths this time of year in Brazil. But I've always tried to participate in this event in some way, photographing small monotonous moths that appear around the lamp, or saving my best records that I take during the year to post in Nationl Moth Week, so that my country is represented in some way in the map of this wonderful event. The idea of celebrating animals that are so little loved, or sometimes neglected by most people, makes me emotional. Unfortunately good things also come to an end. I no longer see people excited here on Project Noah to post their moths. But I want to share this hawk moth that I saved from having its cycle sadly ended by a human, it was on a plant on a sidewalk in the street. I brought the caterpillar home, fed it and took care of it until this week the huge moth with beautiful patterns that camouflages it very well in its environment emerged during the dawn and here it is. Let no one give up on being kind enough to nature.

What a wonderful documentation. Every little bit helps nature...yours was such a kind and caring act. I understand the patch is slightly delayed this year.
