Field Notes

Description:

Small bird 12–13 cm long. The beak is longer than purple rumped sunbird. The iridescent feathers are just coming out. He is looking for nectar from the flowers of a parasitic plant on a Guava tree.

Habitat:

Less common than the Purple rumped sunbird. Frequents all kind of flowers with nectar. Could drink while hovering.
