Field Notes

Description:

This is the brown form of the squirrel treefrog. It's much more common for them to be smooth and green, but they can vary anywhere in between to this color.

Habitat:

Swampy pond area in a mixed forest.

Notes:

Found on a night frog hunt with a group of 3rd-6th graders staying at our camp for an overnight outdoor retreat and photographed the following day before release.
