Field Notes

Description:

24 cm parrots, with a white forehead and crown, dark blue head and neck, green body, and yellow-olive shoulder patch that can be notably seen in the second photo. Incredibly beautiful colors.

Habitat:

eastern Mexico to western Panama

Notes:

I was enjoying a nice quiet cup of tea in the afternoon when I was interrupted by a lot of squawking. I thought the parrots would be quite close, given how loud they were, but they were actually quite far away. I cropped these photos quite a lot. Not sure what kind of behavior I observed but they went at it for a good 10 minutes.
