Field Notes

Description:

Small sized dendrobium with erect, yellowish stems with oval-shaped leaves grow along the stem that will fall in the flowering season. The flowers will sprout from a bract that grows on a leafless stem. That's probably how the plant got the name.

Habitat:

Wide range of tropical forest in Papua, from warm coastal lines to cool, windy hills.
