Description:

This is one of the Common Tiger Beetles in the Genus Cicindela. It is metallic green in color with white spots.

Habitat:

Typically open habitats with sandy soil, often near streams or ponds, lakes; some species in woodlands, clay soils. This one was photographed at Brick Pond Park in Aiken County, SC.
