Field Notes

Description:

The red squirrel or common squirrel is a rodent mammal and one of the most common species that can be found. Their main feature is their intense reddish fur, for which they are named and which, at the same time, allows them to camouflage quite successfully among the autumn leaves. In addition, it has a tuft of hair that appears on its ears during the winter. On the other hand, its long and bushy tail of hair, which gives it a fluffy appearance, helps it balance and glide through the trees.

Habitat:

He was free in an area of country houses that have their own crops. The squirrel moved between the palm trees or pines through the branches of the trees or electrical wiring. Coincidentally I was able to photograph her when she came down to drink water from the pigeon's trough.

Possibly it is only in the UK. Where I live, in Valencia and Murcia, Mediterranean areas, I have not seen gray squirrels, only red, also called Spanish.
Fabulous shots. What a cutie. I thought the reds were being nudged out by American greys. I guess that's only UK then.
