Field Notes

Description:

These birds are a bit annoying around the feeders because they tend to dominate the scene when they arrive and they usually come in larger groups. The little birds have to be bold and willing to share a feeder with a large one or wait their turn and hope the grackles have swallowed down everything. Nevertheless, I think they are really beautiful birds.

Yes, Cindy - I have! I also have one large crow that has begun hanging around the house for some reason. The crows usually fly off when I come near but this one is very bold and I even found him or her sitting on the roof of my car in the carport today. I have to figure out what is going on there. The birds can be so interesting!
