Description:

Ananas bracteatus is a large terrestrial species of bromeliad that grows 100 centimetres dark green spiny leaves that fade red to pink when exposed to sunlight. When it flowers it blossoms a red pineapple fruit. Edible.

Habitat:

Originary from South America.
Garden in Tuetal de Alajuela, Costa Rica.
