Field Notes

Description:

It size is between 7 and 16 mm. Despite its high variability (as its name suggests) it is characterized by the abdomen end which is a black band. They fly in between June and September.

Habitat:

These beetles are native to Europe. These beetles are common in the Mediterranean region and reach the Pannonian plain (Hungary and parts of Austria and Czech Republic).
