Description:
A "Burrowing Owl" in a Banana! I found this curious... (It's the same specimens of this spott: [ http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/27210212 ] )
Habitat:
Owl terrestrial, it has diurnal and nocturnal, but it is active primarily during twilight, when he makes use of his excellent hearing. Occupy altered habitats by human activities, including cities and airstrips or airports. I found this specimens in a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.
Notes:
"Burrowing Owls" use ground cavities other than burrows for cover. The diet of "Burrowing Owls" consists of insects, small frogs, lizards, and rodents. The owl will eat beetles, crickets, moths, kangaroo rats, and snails. It eats different prey depending on availability in the habitat and the time of year. The Owl is a keen hunter always on the look out for prey, during the day or night, and always keeping a supply of food in its burrow.
