Field Notes

Description:

Bird with a size similar to a sparrow. Blueish beak and legs. Dark head and upper feathers. Orange yellow chest.

The female has a grey head, olive upperparts, orange rump, brownish wings and tail, and ochre underparts with a broad orange breast band. For photos of the male I will show later, in spottings from La Fortuna.

Habitat:

Garden in Tuetal de Alajuela.
