Field Notes

Description:

A female of "Parcella amarynthina".

Habitat:

I found this specimen in a bottle cap, in the garden of my grandfather, a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.

Notes:

Sounds like that the Females of this species are more difficult of see... So... "Yeah! I saw one!"

A Male of the same specie: [ http://www.learnaboutbutterflies.com/Amazon%20-%20Parcella%20amarynthin… ]

How beautiful...at first glance looks almost "fragmented."
Uh! Thanks "Maria dB" and "Daniela Bracamonte". And thanks "bayucca" for help with the ID!
Oh yes, the same one. Females are more difficult to see than males. Wonderful spotting!
