Description:

About 20cm long, with compressed body and small mouth, with a range of vertical blackish stripes, and a fine black horizontal line, discreet but present all along the body.

Habitat:

Native to Mediterranean sea (and Atlantic) this is a common fish in Adriatic sea. Here, seen in shallow waters on rocky coasts near busy beaches close to town center (Dubrovnik, Old Town); Adriatic sea, Dubrovnik riviera.
