Field Notes

Description:

A big beautiful girl at the local zoo, this is a redtail boa, also called the boa constrictor, which I think is funny. Aside from aloe vera I feel like boa constrictor is the most known binomial name known to lay people. Redtail boas, despite their size, make great bests and are very docile and calm snakes. They can reach up to 14 feet in length.

Habitat:

Native to South America
