Description:

Large moth with prominent markings on it. Hints for ID, besides markings on the wings, are also on its forelegs and antennae. This is an Erebid Moth, that much I can guess.
Wingspan: 75mm

Habitat:

Large Buddhist Monastery situated among lots of forests. Cool to warm place. Altitude: about 2,000m.

Notes:

Luck has it that while on the way back from our 'remote place' trip, we wanted to drop in and seek blessings from His Holiness, at Ralang Monastery. After completion we're thanking the usher lama, just then this moth came flying and settled next to me!
