Description:

Hyposidra leucomela Walker, 1866. Family Geometridae, subfamily Ennominae, tribe Boarmiini. Can be confused with Hyposidra picaria (range: Sundaland), but H. leucomela from the Philippines (including the Sulu Island and Palawan) although with similar male genitalia, has white patches that are more numerous and of a different configuration.

Habitat:

Makiling Botanic Gardens, a forest park of the Mt. Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (adjacent or within the UPLB-College of Forestry and Natural Resources), University of the Philippines at Los Baños, Laguna.
