I've never noticed a tree being completely stripped by tent caterpillars. Could be because they tend to make their nests in fairly large trees ... and they only eat the new, young leaves. But, yes, they do make a hole in the foliage!
I hope this tree will make it for the season! Dont they eat the leaves?
