Field Notes

Description:

A small, short-faced, white band on the muzzle, sparse body hair, lack of underwool, fairly long mane, a broad reddish band extending from the muzzle to the sides of the neck.

Habitat:

Spotted during a day walk at Camp Leakey, Tanjung Puting National Park (Tropical forest) - Kalimantan, Borneo - Indonesia, it was eating spare bananas under a feeding Orangutang platform.
