Field Notes

Description:

/////////// Araniella cucurbitina und A. opisthographa can only be separated by their genital morphology.

Notes:

/////////// This spider had just caught a black-and-red froghopper (Cercopis vulnerata). Most of the time only the ventral side of the spider is visible as she tends to sit under her net, often in the center of it.
