Description:
About 25 mm long, this dark brown moth had a distinct shape with the costa turned in at the apices. Each fore wing had a dark patch and anterior to this was a small pale spot.
Mouth parts were drawn out to a short snout.
Habitat:
Spotted in a nature reserve.
Notes:
Larvae live on various plants of the Fabaceae family ( legumes) and are considered commercial pests.
The pattern and colour of adult moths vary greatly. PN has a collection showing the various forms.
