This is a white bleeding heart Dicentra spectabilis alba. Bleeding hearts are native to the eastern United States where I live. It blooms in the spring and prefers the shade.
Good evening Michaela.
This beautiful perennial flower is originally a species of Dicentra spectabilis (bleeding heart), from the Fumariaceae family. This one has white flowers and are a cultivated subspecies. There are at least one that carries white flowers: Dicentra spectabilis alba
The new scientific name for the bleeding heart is Lamprocapnos spectabilis, but the old one is still very much used in reference links.
Beautiful photo and welcome to Project Noah :)
