Field Notes

Description:

An adorable spotted fawn, bedded down in the grass. This was the only photo I managed to get, before the little critter decided I was too close and ran off with impressive speed.

Habitat:

Mountain Lake Wilderness, in a national forest in the mountains of VA. Found bedded down beside a little-used gravel road, in a deciduous forest.

Notes:

Location on map is approximate. I couldn't get the Google Maps thing to work.
