Description:

Family: Sphingidae, Subfamily: Sphinginae (Large Sphinx Moths) A common, large and fuzzy gray moth with jagged black lines. White spots on wings. TL: 45-60 mm. WS: 101 mm. Adults feed on tubular flowers. Hosts: Ash, oak, fringe trees.

Habitat:

Open woodlands, meadows, comes to porch light. Found in the morning.
