Monarch Butterfly ( Pupa )

Many times during the spring and summer months, I would go outside to check on my outdoor butterfly garden. I would check to see if there were any new caterpillars or butterfly pupa, on there host plant. On this day, I saw a Monarch butterfly pupa, attached to its host plant. I took this Monarch pupa with me, inside my house, and then I put this Monarch pupa, inside one of my terrariums. I will now wait until this Monarch pupa ecloses. After this Monarch pupa ecloses, I will take some photos of this Monarch butterfly, and then I will set this Monarch butterfly free.... Order: Lepidoptera Family: Danaidae Genus/Species: Danaus plexippus The pupa is shiny green, with gold spots. The pupa is light green, except when the butterfly, is about to emerge.
