Field Notes

Habitat:

This beautiful bird was spotted feeding (catching them at flight) on small flies at the base of a small waterfall (Kanchandzunga Water Falls) at a remote corner in West Sikkim. The area has lots of vegetation. It's a warm place.

Notes:

When our son and I saw this bird catching flies, I quickly changed my 100mm macro - loaded for butterflies - to Canon 100-400mmL. But got only this photo - it just disappeared after this single shot. I feel lucky!
