Field Notes

Description:

Orange-red folded disc shape. Concave underneath.

Habitat:

Found on unknown tree (apologies, I am not great with that yet) in a dense wooded area.
This area has signs of logging 30+ years ago (huge paths where trucks went through it), with most larger trees having been removed sadly.

It's definitely easier to see but I don't know for sure about the ID still
Machi, unfortunately that is the best I could adjust it to...it really wasn't a great photo. I'm sorry.
I'll look for another photo, or attempt to adjust the current one to see if that helps. Thanks Machi!
Hard to tell without a brighter photo of the underside, but it does remind me of a dried up Neofavolus alveolaris
