This was a small brown bug that stuck its abdomen in the air when approached.

Habitat:

This organism was found in a rocky area, on concrete near a house.

Uups... But Ihope you noticed my ?? as well, Stephen! ;-) I should have looked closer to the antennae first, then legs.
