Field Notes

Description:

The plumage is black above with bold rufous edging to most of the wing coverts, tertials and scapulars as well as the secondaries, and is rufous below with fine black barring.

Habitat:

Mangrove

Notes:

This species has been uplisted to Near Threatened as it is suspected to be undergoing moderately rapid declines owing to conversion and degradation of its coastal mangrove habitat
