Description:

A full lion family was present. Lion, lioness and 2 cubs were seen at the spot. Although we saw the lion to have its share and other to sit aside.

Habitat:

In India, Lions can be found in Gir Forest of Gujarat state. Very recently, a project has started to shift and settle lions in other Indian state also.

Thanks Mark for your interest. Yes, they are ok in numbers. In fact Gir forest in Gujarat is perhaps crowded with Asiatic Lions. After different reports on this project, at this moment Madhya Pradesh is in the leading position. Final decision yet to come.
What a wonderful experience. I hope they're doing ok in numbers. Which southern state are they going to? TN?
