Field Notes
Description:
Tiny, colorful creature with upper portion red and blue and lower body bright yellow. Two red areas appear to be false eyes on the upper portion.
Habitat:
Backyard garden on milkweed plant.
Notes:
I have seen this creature several times on the milkweed but always stationary. The upper portion of the body seems to be wings but I have not seen it fly.
