-22.3432, 30.0407
Field Notes
Description:
Medium-sized bird, with the male being mainly glossy black except for a bright rufous rump and belly and a white wrist patch, and the female a slaty black where the male is glossy and a deep chestnut where the male is rufous and no white on the wing.
Habitat:
Well-wooded rocky gorges, dongas, cliffs, and boulder-strewn hillsides.
Notes:
Were found as a pair with a nest in a nook between a thatch roof and the rafters. The pair were relatively tame, as is usual with the species when around human settlements.
