I saw huge flocks of these birds in Delhi during winter. These are migratory...and return when the scorching Delhi summer begins. I was told that when these birds return in summer they are killed and eaten...because these are also frugivores apparently their flesh is sweet to eat. I did not have the heart to believe...but now....
I guess life can get tough around there sometimes but it's a real pity if the wildlife has to suffer too.
There's dead quail everywhere, I've seen maybe 20-30...
They throw little blocks of rat poison everywhere, he probably ate some of it.
Not sleeping I presume. Do you know what happened to the bird?
