Field Notes
Description:
White with faint black streaks on belly and black collar on neck. Black back and tail with a white rump. Black around the black bill and black around the eyes to the back of the head. White forhead and cheeks. Red crown and yellow eyes. Their calls sometimes sound like a comical laughter. Known for creating holes for acorns on almost all wood including Telephone poles, fence posts and signs. Sometimes seen constantly moving acorns from one tree to another.
Habitat:
Mixed open woodlands.
