Description:

The male of Blackbird is easily recognized: about 25 cm in length, all black with orange yellow bill and circle around the eye.

Habitat:

Originating from Palearctic, the Blackbird is a common resident all over Europe, and is met in many different habitats. Here observed singing in Cupressus trees on banks of Visovac island in Krka NP (Croatia). At this spot, Krka river forms a series of waterfalls and lakes; it is surrounded by a magnificent dense broad-leaved forest, and its shallow coastal waters are rich in vegetation.
