Description:

A small bare like animal. It is the worlds largest burrowing mammal. It is very intelligent with large claws for burrowing and large teeth for eating grass and gnawing roots.

Habitat:

South eastern highlands of Australia

Notes:

An iconic animal of australia its increasingly threatened by habitat destruction and culling by farmers who see it as a nuisance.

You are correct that it is two wombat but they are less than 10 metres apart and are orphans just prior to release .
Nice spotting David. Welcome to Project Noah. I notice it's actually 2 wombats in 2 locations? It should be 2 spottings in that case. Good work at WPSA also :)
yes Wombat are very intelligent and very curious. Provided they do not feel threatened they will investigate new things.
