Description:

What appears to be one large flower with white petals is actually a conical inflorescence with white bracts surrounding it. This particular one has six bracts but there can be between 5 and 10. There are several uses for this plant as medicinal, crafts and horticulture.

Habitat:

Riparian area in partial shade.

Notes:

Aka Yerba Mansa. There is only one species in this genus making it monotypic.
